The short version: this website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and has no tracking pixels. The only personal data TeardownX holds is what you email in.

1. Who is responsible
TEARDOWN X (“TeardownX”, “we”, “I”), a proprietorship registered in Tamil Nadu, India, is the data controller for personal data described in this policy.
Shop No. 28, ARAAR HOUSE, First Street, Thamaraikuppam, Uthukottai, Tiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu 602026, India

There is no separately appointed Data Protection Officer; privacy questions go to the address above and are answered by the person who runs the practice.
2. What this website collects
Nothing, by design. teardownx.com is a static site. It sets no cookies, loads no analytics or advertising scripts, embeds no social widgets, and does not fingerprint visitors. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which processes standard server request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) as a technical necessity of serving any web page. Those logs are Vercel's, retained on their schedule, and are not used by TeardownX for profiling, marketing or any purpose beyond security and availability.
3. What you send us
Every call to action on this site opens your own email client. If you write in, we receive whatever you choose to put in that email — typically name, email address, company, website and a description of your marketing situation.
During a paid engagement we additionally process business information you share for the work itself: positioning documents, customer lists, competitor notes, campaign data and similar. That material is client confidential and is covered by the engagement agreement, not just by this policy.
4. Why, and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Data | Lawful basis (UK/EU GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Replying to an enquiry | Email contents | Steps prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Delivering a paid engagement | Client business material | Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Invoicing, tax and statutory records | Name, billing details, invoice data | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — Indian GST and income tax law |
| Keeping the site available and secure | Host request logs | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
We do not send marketing emails, do not build a mailing list from enquiries, and do not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone for their own marketing.
5. Processors we rely on
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting and CDN.
- Google (Workspace) — business email.
- Payment and banking providers — processing invoices and receipts.
These providers are engaged under their own data processing terms and process data only to provide their service to us.
6. International transfers
TeardownX operates from India. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a GCC state, corresponding with us necessarily means your data is processed in India and, via the providers above, in the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses as incorporated into our providers' terms, together with the safeguards described in this policy.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become engagements
- Up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client engagement material
- For the duration of the engagement plus 3 years, unless you ask for earlier deletion.
- Invoices and tax records
- 8 years, as required by Indian tax law. This period cannot be shortened on request.
8. Your rights
Under the UK/EU GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have rights of access, correction, erasure, grievance redressal and nomination.
To exercise any of these, email reyaz@teardownx.com. We respond within 30 days. There is no fee, and no account to log into — a plain email is sufficient.
9. Children
This is a business-to-business service. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly process children's data.
10. Changes
Material changes to this policy will be published here with a new effective date. This version is effective 2026-08-15.
This policy describes actual practice at TeardownX. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for a lawyer reviewing your own obligations.
